This is a content-rich site, best viewed in the Firefox browser when you have a moment to encounter the themes it raises with a bit of focused attention. If the images load erratically, try refreshing the page once or twice until everything has loaded properly. Internet Explorer users might have little luck. To listen to an interview, choose an interviewee, and allow your computer a moment to process the audio file and load all of the pictures. Once there is no “buffering” message, play the audio file and consider the word cloud while you take in the place and the person(s) speaking.

If you find you do not share the feelings and concerns of the interviewee, give yourself a moment to consider being in someone else’s shoes; consider experiencing life from another perspective. Search for the common thread, the point of understanding that breeds familiarity and collaboration. Practice “deep listening,” and then, if you would like, reply to the themes raised in such a way that allows for shared understanding (even if there is difference of experience and opinion). Resist the urge towards categorical thinking. Let’s try to rethink, together.
